After pitching our prezzi's to our audience, we gained positive and negative feedback which would help us improve our plans on filming our opening.
Positive Feedback
We were told that our group had a strong idea as we decided to use three different characters which allow us to use more imagination when introducing each one of them in the opening. For example, For Cassie we would use upbeat, girly music and also dress her in designer labels to represent her character as being very fashionable and appearance focused.
They also liked the idea of the three characters getting ready for college in the morning because again, it introduces the protagonists and also an introduction to a new stage in their life which is college.
Negative Feedback
Our group originally wanted to show skill in our openings by using a cyclical structure by starting off with a problem of being stuck in the lift and then taking it back to how the day began and eventually lead back to the problem, but we were told that it would over complicate things and we should just open the film by introducing the characters and then lead to the problem.
Also, we wanted to use a picture of the earth dissolving into a map, London, the town where the characters live and then their building but we were told that we had to use our own footage and not an image we browsed on the internet for. We knew that this would be difficult for us because we wouldn't be able to take our own picture of the Earth so instead, we decided to take a close up shot of the street name and then show shots of the building that the three characters live in to set the scene.
Another issue we had was the music we wanted to use to represent the three characters. We had to be careful that the music we wanted to use was copyright free as we could get into a lot of trouble for using someone else's music without their permission.
