How I found Blogging

I found using Blogger difficult at first, but once I got the hang of it I really enjoyed using it as my personal diary for filming.  

I did find that I often forgot to make new posts frequently after different activities during the making of 'Trapped' which made it harder later on when it came to remembering exactly how the day actually went. I did however get used to updating and I do have a lot more blogs posts uploaded now than I did in the very beginning. 

I also thought that I could have improved blog posts by making sure that I had used different kinds of multimedia such as videos and presentations to make it appear ten times more interesting than boring pictures all the  I time. 

Finally, I realised that I had to keep my blog posts in order of our filming progress to make sure that it made sense to the person reading it. If my blog was all over the place, then it would not make sense to the person reading my blog and it would not look like a journey of filming. 

These are all things I have learnt whilst using Blogger and next time, I will take into account all these factors and put it into practice if I do have another project like this in the future. 

My Overall Opinion of Trapped

Overall I thought our Final Opening Sequence turned out to be better than I had expected! It was a relief if I am being honest as we all as a group worked so hard on trying to make it the best it could be. 

The GOODS and the BADS of Trapped - In MY opinion:

GOODS!

• I liked how we used 'Split Screens' in our opening as it showed all three characters in one shot which I believe gives the audience a hint that the characters will be friends later on in the film. 
• I liked how there was backing music playing behind the voiceover to give it a slight urban touch. I also think that this keeps the audience more entertained. 
• I like how the three characters are all introduced in the opening which allows the audience to be familiar with the characters. 
• I like the way we used costumes and props to emphasise each characters personality. For example, my character 'Maya' was not very fashionable and she wore glasses to make her look a little bit like a geek. 
• I like how the titles and credits were shown during the film opening and not seperately.

BADS! - What we could improve!

• I would have loved to include more scenes that we had filmed but because we only had a time limit of two minutes, we had to say goodbye to alot of scenes. 
• I would have loved to re-film certain scenes and use camera angles better. 
• I did not like how some scenes jog a bit as it makes our opening seem unprofessional.
• I would have liked to use a camera light on our building scenes as they look a little dark.

What I enjoyed about the making of Trapped

Filming planning and editing for trapped has increased my knowledge immensely and has giving me a lot of skills I can use in the future.Although it was difficult and stressful at times overall it was a wonderful experience which I'd love to do again some day.

To start of with filming was really enjoyable as well as difficult.I enjoyed acting out the scenes as well as actually filming the footage.it was an amazing experience which ive learnt from.We finished filming earlier than expected on the first day which meant we had time to watch the clips and ensure we did everything as planned and no mistakes were made.Watching the clips was fun because we got to see the scenes we did but decided not to use because of everyone laughing as we were still getting used to being centre of attention

Editing was very stressful as everything needed to be perfect and we couldn't afford to make mistakes as this would bring our marks down.Editing involved making the ident ourselves as well as finding music that was copyright free and went well with the footage.The most enjoyable part of editing was when we had finished :D

Planning was an awesome experience which helped our group listen to each other and make decisions as a group which we all agreed on.At the start we all had different ideas but gradually we all listened to each other and got on really well:)

This video was published on 05/03/2014 but it had accidently been deleted therefore we have uploaded it again, however the feedback for the roughcut will be found in previous posts.

Last minute changes to improve the opening

One of the changes we made to our opening was redoing parts of the voice-over as some parts didn't match with the footage we had,one example of this is at first we decided to categorise different college groups such as the nerds;the cool guys;the popular girls;the Blacks and the Asians,however we realised it wouldn't be appropriate to classify groups like that therefore we altered the voice-over so that it matches our footage.

At first we decided to do each scene separately however during the end of our editing process we realised our opening was over three minutes when its only supposed to be 2 minutes,to solve this problem we decided to do a split screen of all three characters.I am glad we did this as it looks better now and has made our opening shorter.
we also took out some footage where the camera jogs as this made our opening look unprofessional.
