WHAT TO EXPECT TO SEE IN THE OPENING OF A FILM

  • One of the things to be expected from an opening sequence is the producers/directors names. It is bold and placed in the centre which catches the audiences attention.

  • Scenes from actual movie are shown through flash backs the things which happen later on in the movie when the climax builds up.

  • The title is big and bold which takes up most of the screen. It is white writing on top of a black background which makes it effective and stands out to the audience. The symplistic font condicts what might happen in the storyline.

  • We are introduced to the main character who is shown in the first few seconds of the movie.  With the director's name placed on top.
